ECRU – Kenneth “Big Daddy” Pickering, 56, died Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc with Bro. Fred Hartley officiating. Burial will be in Pontotoc Memorial Garden.
Survivors include one brother, Gary Pickering of Pontotoc; six sisters, Jean Nolen of Horn Lake, Geneva Griffin and Peggy Ferguson of Ecru, Janice Sides (Al) and Vicki Wood (Carl) of Middleton, Tenn., and Jeannette Gann of Pontotoc; one stepson, Jason Massey, one stepdaughter, Kellie Massey and one stepgrandson, Colton Bordon of Pontotoc; several nieces and nephews; a special cousin, Patsy White.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Diane Pickering; his father and mother, Emmett and Emogene Pickering; and his brother, Jimmy Pickering.
Pallbearers will be Rodger Dale, Ham Prater, Stanley Stokes, David Smith, Robert Kidd, David Litton, Scott McGee, Allen Pickering, Jerry Ferguson and Randy Sisco.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday.
