Funeral services for Mrs. Gloria Louise Stapleton, age 77, will be held Monday, May 4, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the Bailey Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Lynn Ray Foster and Rev. Tim Everett officiating. Interment will follow in White Hall Cemetery, Shongaloo, LA under the direction of Bailey Mortuary, Springhill, LA.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 3, 2009 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Bailey Mortuary, Springhill, LA.
Mrs. Stapleton was born February 28, 1932 in Haynesville, LA to Charlie and Jessie Nora Kight Eidson and passed away Friday, May 1, 2009 in Springhill, LA. She was a lifelong resident of this area, was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church where she had worked in the church nursery and was a homemaker. Mrs. Stapleton was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter, Louise Cox of Springhill; her son, Richard Charles Stapleton and wife, Avelina of Bossier City, LA; grandchildren, Ricky Lynn Dorsey, Leslie Kaye Dorsey, Christie Lee Morgan and husband, James; great grandchildren, Dean, Megan, Randy; brother, Huey Purnell of Garland, TX and a host of nieces of nephews.
Pallbearers will be James Morgan, Aubrey Gilcrease, Luke Morton, J.C. Eidson, Jr., Danny Ray Smith and Billy Dorsey.
