Mrs. Margaret McKeeman, one of the respected and noble women of Allen County, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Robert Mercer, September 9, 1891, from heart failure. The deceased left a family of nine children, four sons and five
daughters, nearly all of whom were at her bedside when the final summons came. She was born in County Antrim, Ireland, in 1830, and coming to this country settled first in New York, then in Allen county, where she made her home until death. Mrs. McKeeman was a good woman, and will be missed by all who know her.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. M. Boggs, of Fort Wayne, and the remains were interred in the Odd Fellows cemetery at New Haven.
