There seems to be some confusion about his name. The cemetery listing shows him as Frederick J. His obituary shows his name is Frederick Joseph. Findagrave member DSpooner has said his middle name is Jacob, and later that his name is Jacob Frederick. I have chosen to stay with what the obituary says.

Requiem Mass for Frederick Joseph Matson, 88, of 1121 16th Av., who died Saturday, will be said at 9:30 o'clock tomorrow in the Church of the Immaculate. Burial will be in Holyrood under the direction of the John Kalin mortuary.
Mr. Matson, born in Wisconsin, came here in 1944. He was a retired mechanic.
Surviving are two sisters and a brother, all in Storm Lake, Iowa.
