OBITUARY
PAUL O. COTTRELL, 89, died Thursday at Lutheran Hospital. Born in Paulding County, Ohio, he was a Fort Wayne resident since 1937. He was a district supervisor at Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. and he pioneered the opening of the first 13 supermarkets in the Midwest, including Fort Wayne's first grocery supermarket in 1937. He was later a business Realtor in Fort Wayne, retiring in 1967. His wife, Ruth, died in 1994. Surviving are his son, Dr. Robert F.
of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Private family services Sunday. Calling from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Wayne Street Chapel 420 W. Wayne St. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorials
