Gaylon Anderson was born May 29, 1936 at Alexandria, Minnesota, the son of Eugene and Hilda Affeldt Anderson. Gaylon attended school in Alexandria and graduated from the Bell Gardens California High School. On September 20, 1956 he was united in marriage to June Painter at Kingman, Arizona. After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Anderson, lived in California until 1959 when they moved to Minot, North Dakota. In 1962 they moved to St. Paul, Minnesota and they have made their home in Alexandria since 1969.
Mr. Anderson was engaged as a plastering contractor. He passed away at the Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria, Minnesota on June 12, 1977 at the age of 41 years.
Surviving are his wife June; two daughters and two sons: Wendy, Becky, Chris and Randy, all at home; also surviving his stepfather, Norman Alm of Osakis, Minnesota; one brother, Myron Anderson of Fargo, North Dakota; one sister, Majel (Mrs. Richard Olson) of Portland, Oregon.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were held June 16, 1977 at Calvary Lutheran Church, Alexandria, Minnesota with Rev. Carl Anderson and Rev. Giles Ekola officiating. Interment in Kinkead Cemetery, Alexandria. Pallbearers were Edward Johnson, Melvin Jones, Sylvester Geris, Cleve Hauck, Roger Affeldt and John Brackin.
