Funeral service for Seth Michael Simmons, 10, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2009, at the Dickie Allen Funeral Home Chapel in Cushing with the Rev. Ronnie Luman officiating. Burial will follow in Clifton Cemetery. Seth went home to the Lord Saturday in Nacogdoches. He was born October 24, 1998, in Lufkin, Texas. He had lived most of his life in Lufkin and recently moved to Nacogdoches. He attended Central Heights Elemetary School and was a straight "A" student. Seth loved baseball and was most recently on the Cardinals team in Lufkin. Seth dearly loved his brothers and sister and even enjoyed cooking for them. He loved video games and spending time with his cousins, Chance and Chase. He never missed an opportunity to say,"I love you" to his family. Survivors include his father and step-mother, Richard and Lisa Simmons of Nacogdoches, Texas; mother, Jennifer Hanson of Lufkin, Texas; brothers, Christian Simmons, Gabriel Simmons and Zander Simmons, all of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Chandler Bledsoe of Huntington, Texas; sister, Emma Simmons of Nacogdoches, Texas; grandparents, Casey and Travis Smith of Colmesneil, Texas, Connie Simmons and Jessie Ray of Lufkin, Texas, and Brenda and Michael Hayes of Garrison, Texas; aunt, Melissa Simmons; and dearly loved cousin, Destiny Melton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, May 7, at the funeral home in Cushing. Dickie Allen Funeral Home, Cushing.
