Rev. Nathan D. Ray, of Van Buren, Arkansas died on Monday, May 4, 2009 at Sparks-Peachtree Palliative Care Unit in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Rev. Ray was 46 years, 6 months, and 11 days old.
He was the associate pastor of Cedarville Assembly of God and a graduate of Cedarville High School. A lifelong resident of Cedarville he was preceded in death by his mother, Velma Ray and a son, Cory Ray. He is survived by his wife, Laura Ray of the home; two daughters, Nicole Richie and her husband Aaron of Van Buren and Trisha Ray of the home; one son, Jacob Ray, of the home; his father, Artie Joe Ray, of Van Buren; one brother, Steven Ray, of Rudy and one grandchild Shaylah Richie, of Van Buren.
Funeral service was held on Thursday, May 7, 2009, at 10:00a.m. at the Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren, Arkansas. Revs. Kenny Hibbard and C.A. Eversole officiated the service. Rev. Ray was laid to rest at Shamrock Cemetery, in chester, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are, Aaron Richie, Aaron Seratt, Jeff and Chuck Crowley, Chris Belcher and Robin Cameron.
Honorary Pallbearers are Jordan Ray, Mark Fears, Jeff Davis, Ronny Jones, Curtis Irby and Stacy Johnson.
