Danny Charles Hughes, 19, of U.S. Navy, San Diego, Calif., died Tuesday evening at the U.S. Navy Regional Hospital in San Diego as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Born Aug. 24, 1958 in Rogers, the son of Charles R. and Thelma Speck Hughes, he graduated from Rogers High School in 1976 and entered the Navy in Oct., 1976. He was member of the Open Door Baptist Church in Rogers.

He is survived by his parents of Rogers; four sisters, Mrs. Charlene Hagan of Rustin, La., and Mrs. Susie Russell, Cindy Keeling, and Miss Lynnette Hughes, all of Rogers; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Gladys Hughes of Fayetteville; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Mae Speck of West Fork; his paternal great-grandmother, Mrs. Mary Hughes of Fayetteville. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Open Door Baptist Church in Rogers with burial in the Benton County Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Burns Funeral Home of Rogers.
