Mother Of Three-Day-Old Daughter Died In Mercy Hospital
Mrs. Rhoda Eldridge Adkins, 22, Wife of Robert Adkins of Wheelersburg, died in Mercy hospital at 10:30 p.m. Thursday. A daughter, Rosa Adkins, was born to her in the hospital Tuesday and the child's condition is reported fair.
Mrs. Adkins was born in Quincy, Ky., in 1912 and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Eldridge.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Adkins, three daughters, Gladys May, Betty Ruth, Rosa, a son Ray Sol Adkins, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Eldridge of Wheeler's Mill; five brothers, Charles, Samuel, Herbert and Alfred of Wheeler's Mill, Lee of Harrisonville Pike and a sister, Mrs. Helen Adkins of Wheeler's Mill.
The body has been removed to the Hacquard funeral home.
