MRS. BOARDMAN DIES IN HOSPITAL
Mrs. Marianne Boardman, 28, daughter of the late William G. Schmidt, former head of the University of Oklahoma voice department, died Friday following an operation.
Mrs. Boardman was a stenographic clerk in the OU extension division.
Born in Norman, she had lived there all her life. She was graduated from Norman High School and attended the university. Her father, who died in 1936, was head of the voice department 20 years and was one of the first teachers of Joseph Benton.
Services are pending at Guardian funeral home.
She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Fred Abele, New Orleans, LA, and a brother, William G. Schmidt, Jr., 1217 Marlboro.

Private services for Mrs. Marianne Boardman, 28, Norman, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday. Mrs. Boardman, daughter of the late William G. Schmidt, former University of Oklahoma voice department head, died Friday in a University hospital following an operation.

(She was married to Darwin Rice Boardman 02 Feb 1944 Norman, OK) She had cancer of the breast and brain.
