Funeral Service for Plura Adkins, 86, of Best Care
Nursing Home, Wheelersburg, a former resident of Beaver
Route 2, who died Saturday at Mercy Hospital, is planned
2 p.m. Tuesday at Erwin-Dodson Funeral Home in Minford.
A Lawrence County, KY., Native, she was preceded in death
by her first husband, Isaac Eldridge, in 1926. Survivors
include two sons, Ray Adkins of Columbus and Karl Adkins
of Beaver; three daughters, Mrs. Thurman (Betty) Parker and
Rosemary Parker, both of Minford Route 1, and Mrs. Marvin
(Frances) Conkel of Fern Park, Fla.; a brother, Martin Skaggs
of Stephens, KY.; two sisters, Virtie Barker and Myrtle
Maxie, both of Martha, KY.; 59 grandchildren; 97 great-
grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. Burial is to be in Batterson Cemetery near Minford. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday.

and she probably had a total education of the 3rd grade
