Robert Dick Binford, 79, Route 1, Uniontown, died Monday morning at the Veterans Administration Hospital at Leavenworth. He was born Aug. 10, 1908, at Burns, Kan., the son of Robert David and Grace Lily Binford. He married Mabel Uarda Lindsey Sept. 12, 1927, at Wichita.

Mr. Binford spent 30 years in the Army. He was retired from the California Highway Patrol.

He was a member of Excelsior Lodge AF&AM, and Mary A. Hepler Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, Uniontown; Fort Scott Scottish Rite Bodies; and Mirza Shrine Temple, Pittsburg.

Survivors include the wife, of the home; two sons, Dr. Earle Binford, Uniontown, an Dr. Kieth Binford, Bella Vista, Ark; two daughters Lindsey Leigh Huskey, DeSota, Texas, and Carrol Walker, Vicenza, Italy; a brother, Boyd Binford, Udall, Kan.; 19 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in Fort Scott National Cemetery. Arrangements by Earl’s Memorial Home.
