DIED,

Of pulmonary Consumption, on the 26th of May, in the 29th year of his age, Mr. BECTON WATKINS.

We record the death of this excellent young man with the sincere regret which springs from affection.

We knew him intimately from his boyhood, -- during some years of which he was an intimate of our family, -- to the time of his decease, and one more amiable or estimable, both as a boy and man, we never knew.

His young bereaved family will find their best consolation and truest happiness in adopting and pursuing his blameless and virtuous example.
