Johanna Lutz Smith of Waynesboro, TN was born October 13, 1928 in Calw, Germany, the daughter of the late George and Johanna Geiger Lutz. She was united in marriage to Lowell T. Smith on August 11, 1972.
Mrs. Smith was a seamstress and homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Waynesboro, Tennessee.
She had lived in Abilene, TX before moving to Waynesboro, TN and departed this life Sunday, November 26, 2017 at her home at the age of 89 Years, 1 Month, 13 Days.
She is survived by her husband of over forty-five years, Lowell T. Smith of Waynesboro, TN; a son, Tommy Wolford of TX; a daughter, Sonja Wallace of Mangum, OK; grandchildren, William Wallace and Kristina Davis; great-grandchildren, Ryder and Roper Wallace and Kayden and Braylon Davis; brothers, Helmut and Werner Lutz and sisters, Gerda Strohle and Renate Scheller all of Germany.
Services will be Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Dion Pulley officiating. Burial will follow in Ralph Cole Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County directing. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 29, 2017 from 6 pm to 8 pm and Thursday, November 30, 2017 from noon to service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Cleo Kilburn, Floyd (Babe) Staggs, Dexter Gobbell, Roy Wallace, William Wallace and Robert Smith with Steve Smith and Bill Smith serving as honorary pallbearers.
