The funeral was held at St. Paul's Methodist Episcopal church. A large group of members of the Eastern Star assembled at her home and preceded the hearse as escort to the church. The casket was covered with beautiful flowers and a large star in several colors. Services at the cemetery were conducted by Eastern Star.
She was survived by her husband, Frank L. Gates; two daughters, ages 10 and 12; a son, six years old; her mother, a sister and four brothers living in California; and a brother, W.H. Collins of Globe.
