Mrs. Laura Busby Died at Home Early Today

Owner of Ash Street Grocery for many Years Succumbs After Long Illness

Mrs. Laura Ann Busby, for many years the proprietor of the Ash Street grocery, died at her home 607 East Ash street at 3:30 o'clock this morning after a linger illness of about 6 months.

Laura Ann Oller was born in Greenwood Township April 2, 1857 and was the daughter of Peter and Abigail Oller. At the time of her death she was 59 years old. She was married to Francis Busby September 28, 1879 and to this union were born four children, one dying in infancy. Surviving are Peter of Riley, Oregon; Jason and Madison of this city.

Besides the members of her immediate family, she is survived by six brothers and three sisters; John and Charles Oller, of Coldwater, Kansas; George of Raymond; Samuel of Sawyer, Kansas and James of Taylorville; Mrs. Liza Vonachen of Springfield; Mrs. Walter Hord and Mrs. Mollie Busby of this city.

Mrs. Busby has made Taylorville her home since her marriage except for a couple years she lived in Kansas. She conducted the north end grocery for 24 years. She joined the United Brethren Church early in life, but since moving to Taylorville, held member in the Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Methodist Church. Burial will be made at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Note: The child dying in infancy was Minnie M. Busby who is buried in Block 12, Lot 183, Site 0 next to her parents.
