Civil War Veteran Dies.
W. J. Abbott, 81 years old, veteran of the Civil War and a resident of Seattle since 1898, died yesterday afternoon at thehome of Mr. and Mrs. George Palmer, 1914 Fifth Avenue. When Mr. Abbott first came to Seattle he was in the lumber business. For the last three years of his life he was an employee of The Times. He was born in New Hampshire on August 30, 1840. He had no relatives. Funeral services will be at the Bonney-Watson chapel, the time to be announced later.
