Mr. Caison was born in Brunswick County on October 22, 1942, and was the son of the late James Edward Caison Sr. and Madeline Phelps Caison. He was also preceded in death by a brother, James Edward Caison Jr. He was a retired deck captain with Norfolk Dredging Company. Mr. Caison was a member of Supply Baptist Church. He was a member of Shallotte Lodge #727 A.F & A.M. and a member of the Yorkrite.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Maggard Caison of the home; three sons, Gene A. Caison Jr. and wife Renee of Supply, Greg Caison and wife Angel of Bolivia, Tony Caison and wife Shannon of Bolivia; grandchildren Kristen, Ryan, Rodney, Corey, Danielle, Michael and Anthony; a brother, Jerry Caison and wife Rose of Supply.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Supply Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill McNeill officiating. Burial followed in the Royal Oak Cemetery with Masonic rites accorded by Shallotte Lodge #727 A.F. & A.M.
