Born in Rehrersburg, PA, she was a daughter of the late Levi B. and Emma A. Sensenig Gibbel. She was a member of Cocalico Church of the Brethren and a Sunday School teacher and Deaconess. She was a graduate of Bethel High School and enjoyed reading, sewing, crafts, and volunteering in church and community activities.
Surviving are 5 children: Victor G. (Lorraine Weaver) of Quarryville, Reverend Kenneth G. of Denver, Jay M. (Nerissa Mattar) of Lebanon, Roxanne S. (Calvin R.) Good of Akron, PA, and Sarah J. (Gregory S.) High of Elizabethville, PA; 16 grandchildren; and sisters: Mary Kathryn (Clair W.) Graver of King of Prussia and Nancy Anne (Kenneth) Rogers of Lebanon.
