Theogene Martel buried at rites Mamou (Spl)
Funeral services were held Friday at .9 a.m. at the St. Ann Catholic Church at Mamou for Theogene Martel, 77, who died at the Savoy Memorial Hospital Wednesday at 7:20 p.m. following a long illness.
The Rev. J. A. LeBianc, pastor, -officiated at the last rites and burial was held in .the St. Ann Church Cemetery.
A. lifelong, resident of the Mamou community,. Martel is survived by his "wife, the former Rosesina Pierrottie of Mamou; one daughter, Mrs. Otis Fuselier of Mamou and two sons, Louis Martel of Mamou and Aubrey Martel of Eunice.
Other survivors include two brothers, Jules Martel of Ma-mow and Etienne- Martel of Eunice; one sister, Mrs. Alfred Ledoux of. Eunice; six grandchildren. (The Eunice News, 30 Aug 1962)
