Paul Janes "Jack" Boswell, Jr., age 80, of Greensboro, GA., died Friday, May 1, 2009 at his residence. A lifelong resident of Greene County, he was born July 23, 1928 to the late Paul Janes Boswell, Sr. and Lilla Margaret Torbert Boswell. As a child he attended school in Penfield and later graduated from Greensboro High School in 1945. After high school, he served his country in the United States Army. In 1955 he married the former Mary Virginia Harrison of Greensboro. Most of his life Jack had worked in construction and was the owner and operator of Boswell Construction. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Greensboro. Nothing made him happier than being with family and friends. Jack was always laughing and loved to tell jokes.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Virginia Harrison Boswell of Greensboro, GA; a daughter, Kim Linder and husband Jeff of Greensboro, GA; two sons, Pete Boswell and Thurla Baldwin of Greensboro, GA and Ralph Boswell and wife Heather of Greensboro, GA; a sister, Doris Birdsong of Greensboro, GA; three brothers, L. G. "Rooster" Boswell and wife Linda of Greensboro, GA, Ben W. "Hot" Boswell and wife Ann of Greensboro, GA and Andrew M. Boswell and wife Judy of Greensboro, GA; grandchildren, Bayne Cheeley, Meme Cheeley Hudgins and husband Rickey, Harrison Cheeley, Jamie Boswell, Thomas Boswell, Eli Boswell, Jeb Boswell, Mattie Boswell and Josh Boswell; great grandchildren, Abby Boswell, P. J. Boswell, Saylor Boswell, Cooper Boswell, Laikyn Boswell, Brittany Boswell, Mason Hudgins and Rylan Hudgins; and many other relatives and friends.
