Sarah Frances Bradshaw was born in Adair County, Missouri, November 24, 1847 and was married to David C. Morelock on January 16, 1864. To this union eleven children were born, five of whom with her husband preceded her in death. Those living are: G. W. and J. F. of Eldora, Iowa, E. L. of Greencastle, Mrs. Cora Frost of Elmdale, Montana, Mrs. Cassie Tate of Livonia, Missouri, and Mrs. Edith Bachman of Montezuma, Iowa. From early womandhood she had been a member of the Presbyterian Church and lived a devoted Christian life until her death which occurred August 4, 1918 at the home of her son Frank, after many weeks of patient suffering. She leaves a half-brother Frank Stevens of Connelsville and two half sisters, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren beside a host of friends who will sadly miss her. Funeral services were conducted at the Morelock Church by Rev. Dudley Capps August 7th, after which she was laid to rest at the Morelock Cemetery.
