MOS:0311 Rifleman.

Richard enlisted in the Marines 18 July 1962
at a New York Recruiting Office.
Upon arriving in Vietnam he was assigned to
Mike Company,3rd Battalion,1st Marine
Regiment,3rd Marine Division.Richard died of
a gunshot wound to the neck area from hostile
small arms fire,during an engagement against
hostile forces in the vicinity of Phan That
(1),5 kilometers north northeast of Duc Pho,
while participating in Operation Double Eagle.
Tour of duty unknown.
Survived by his parents,Emil & Ethel Bilotta
of 1674 10th Ave,Brooklyn,NY.

His father served in the US Army during WW II.
