Norris Henry Hake was the son of the Reverend Emanuel Hake and Jane McConnel Hake. He was the grandson of Daniel Hake and Sarah Elizabeth Ilgenfritz Hake. Norris married Rachel Regina Schoellkopf on 3 October 1877, in Whitewater, Walworth County, Wisconsin. Rachel was the daughter of Johann and Mary Albright Schoellkopf. Rachel was born on 13 May 1853, in Cold Spring Township, Jefferson County. She died on 3 October 1940, in Ft. Atkinson.
