Funeral services for Mrs. Lela Ashley will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro with the Rev. Ray P. Raddin officiating, assisted by the Rev. Jimmy Sims.
Interment will be in the Crowville Masonic Cemetery.
Mrs. Ashley, a native of Crowville, died early Wednesday morning at her residence. She had been a Monroe resident for 10 years before moving to Sterlington.
She is survived by three sons, A. L. Ashley of Sterlington, James Ashley and Lee Ashley, both of Monroe; two daughters, Mrs. Sidney Nelson of San Bruno, Calif. and Mrs. Wesley Collier of Ruston; three brothers, Richard Cockerham and R. L. Cockerham, both of Winnsboro, and Bill Cockerham of Delhi; three sisters, Mrs. Audie Walker and Mrs. Elnora Smith, both of Delhi, and Mrs. Evie Harper of Ferriday; and 14 grandchildren.
