Mark William Fender, 33, Springfield, died Monday evening in Lampe.
Mr. Fender was a U.S. Marine Vietnam veteran and a housekeeper at University Plaza Hotel.
Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Fender Sr., Springfield, two brothers, G. Sgt. R.E. Fender Jr., Syracuse, N.Y., and S. Sgt. D.A. Fender, Twenty-nine Palms, Calif., both serving in the U.S. Marine Corps; a sister, Kathrina Lea, Springfield, and his grandmothers, Louise Fender and Katie Kennedy, both of Springfield.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. today in St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Rev. Alexander Luetkemeyer, O.S.B. officiating. Burial will be in Steward Cemetery, near Fordland, with full military rites conducted by Marine Corps. Inspector Instructor Staff. Arrangements are under direction of Bob and Don Lohmeyer at Gorman-Scharpf University Chapel.
