Acworth - Harley Morris, 81, died Monday, March 17, 2003. A native of Canton, Mr. Morris retired from the Cobb County Heating Inspections Department. He served with the 4th Marine Division during World War II. He was past commander of American Legion Post 160 in Smyrna and coached American Legion Baseball.

Survivors: wife, Betty Morris; one son, Bill Morris of Dallas, GA; two daughters, Pat Kennedy of Springfield and Paula Morris of Acworth; one brother, Penky Morris of Acworth; two sisters, Sallie Adams of Smyrna and Dickie Cato of Statesboro; eight grandchildren, nine great- grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m., Thursday at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta with Rev. Bryant Harris officiating. Burial: Mars Hill Cemetery in Acworth.
