A sweet, wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, great greatgrandmother,sister and friend. She was loved by everyone she knew. A great cook she passed this skill down to all of her daughters. Family and visitors were expected to sit down and eat when visiting. She was a faithful member of Mars Hill Presbyterian Church. As my grandmother, Helen, once told me, "daddy would have us helping mother in the kitchen and he would call out to her, Bertha Mae, come out here and sit on the porch with me for awhile." Sunsets are always better when shared with your sweetheart at any age.
