Robert P. Adams, 437 N. 13th St., Lebanon, died Friday morning in his home. He was 53.
Adams was retired in January as a foreman with Met-Ed in Lebanon after 32 years of service. He was a member of St. Gertrude's Catholic Church, Liberty, Friendship and Rural Security fire companies, Central Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Josephine F. Horn Adams; a son, Robert P. Jr., Lebanon; two grandchildren; his mother, Genevieve Deufel Adams, Lebanon; brothers Thomas, Pittsburgh, and Carl, Baltimore; sisters Christine Adams, Philadelphia, and Marie Adams, Lebanon; several nieces and nephews; and stepsons Nelson Sweigart, Cornwall, and Randy Sweigart, Lebanon.
His father was the late Paul Adams.

Mass of Christian burial was celebrated this morning in St. Gertrude's Catholic Church, Lebanon, for Robert P. Adams, husband of Josephine Adams, 437 N. 13th St., Lebanon. The Rev. John Greaney, pastor of the church, was the celebrant.
Interment was in St. Gertrude's Cemetery. Pallbearers were Arthur Buchter, Durwood Hicks, David Young, Paul Horn, Carl Adams, Thomas Adams, Anthony Horney and Dr. Joseph Bering. Honorary pallbearers were William Grace, James Miller, Warren Stiely, Thomas Kern, Edward Zubey and Conrad Horn. Robert M. Adams served as acolyte. Thompson Funeral Home, Lebanon, was in charge of arrangements.
