Dorothy Chandler Baer, 93, of Lewiston died Monday, Aug. 30, 1999, in Logan, Utah. She was born Sept. 4, 1905, in Ogden, Utah. Dorothy was one of 12 children of Boyd Sanky and May Carnan Chandler. The family moved to Amalga, Utah, in 1917 and then to Lewiston in 1922. She attended North Cache High School.

Dorothy married Campbell (Cab) Baer on Jan. 22, 1926. They moved with the Amalgamated Sugar Company to Rupert, Idaho, Nampa, Idaho, and Nyssa, Ore., before coming back to Lewiston, Utah, in 1960.

Dorothy enjoyed playing bridge and had been in a bridge club since 1930. She also loved beautiful clothes and shopping with her sisters. She was a very loving mother and grandmother.

She had three children: J. William, Beverly (Whitey) Deimer and Chandler (Sally).

She is survived by Chandler; a sister, Lee Pond; 6 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 3, 1999, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lewiston 3rd Ward, 16 S. Main, with Bishop Thom Smith conducting. Friends may call Thursday evening at Nelson Funeral Home, 85 S. Main, Smithfield, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday at the church one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Lewiston City Cemetery.
