Grand Master of Masons in Texas in 1956.

Moved to Paris, Texas, at an early age and received his education in the Paris schools. He was a member and an ardent worker in the First Methodist Church of Paris. He owned and operated a Sheet Metal Shop from February 1, 1908, until his retirement on April 19, 1953, and was a member of the Chamber of Commerce of Paris, Texas.

On August 13, 1910, he married Florence Isora Moore of Campti, Louisiana. They have two children, William Roscoe Boothe and Frances Ellen Boothe (Mrs. Frances Vaught) and two grandchildren.

He was a member of Paris Lodge No.27, Ancient Free & Accepted Masons. He as also a York Rite Mason, Scottish Rite Mason and Shriner.
