Mrs. Kari Broutie died Tuesday, May 4, at the age of 73 years and two months. She was born in Norway & came to this country when a young woman. She has been a resident of this county for fifty years, having lived on the farm north of Delavan, where she died, all that time. She was a woman of sterling worth, a good neighbor and a faithful wife and mother. She was a life long member of the Lutheran church. Three sons and three daughters and a host of friends are left to mourn her loss. The sons are, Easton Broutie, of Milroy, Minn., Ole & Theodore of Delavan; and the daughters are Lena Broutie of Delavan and Mrs. F. R. Livingood and Mrs. A. A. Schultz of Plevna, Mont. The funeral was held Sunday at the East Lutheran church, Reb. Nervig of Minneapolis officiating.
