Eleanor J. (Snyder) Aust
Johnstown – AUST – Eleanor J. (Snyder), 93, joined her husband of 65 years in heaven on July 29, 2013. She died peacefully at home where she resided with her son and daughter-in-law.
Born March 29, 1920, in Upper Turkeyfoot Township. Preceded in death by parents, Wilson G. and Minnie (Schrock) Snyder; husband, Herbert H. Aust; brother, Robert; and sisters, Ruth Critchfield, Florence May and Hazel Fike.
Survived by children, Herbert S., married to Donna J. Grabowski, Menoher Heights; and Robin, married to William Bogler, Mifflinburg, Pa. Also survived by grandchildren, Pamela, married to Michael Crooks; Cynthia Aust, engaged to Jonathan Joseph; Herbert S. Aust Jr.; Cory Bogler; and Alex Bogler; and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Austin and Landon Crooks; and Montgomery Joseph.
Eleanor was a retired registered nurse from Conemaugh Valley School of Nursing. She was always proud that she was born and raised on a farm. Her motto was, "It's good to be busy."
There will be no viewing or visitation. She was a member of St. Clement Catholic Church, where memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Aug. 5, the Rev. William E. Rosenbaum.
