Born in Pfeddersheim, Germany. Husband of Catharine.


He (age 45) and wife, Catharine (age 40), arrived in Philadelphia 17 Aug 1733 with children: Anna Eve (13), William (12), and Catharine (9). By a warrant dated 28 Sep 1738, he secured 300 acres of land in Salisbury Township, Lehigh County. On 15 Dec 1743, he along with John Martin Bamberger gave a deed for the land on which the Salzburg Church was built.
