After a short residence in Norman, Nebraska, the couple came to Colorado in 1909 and filed on a homestead south of Kelly. Mr. Stark formed one of the first Sunday schools in the Kelly district and was instrumental in organizing the Calvary Baptist Church south of Kelly.
In 1922 the family moved to Sterling and Mr. Stark transferred his church membership to the First Baptist Church.
Mr. Stark was survived by his wife and several children: Mrs. John Mustain of Burdett, Colorado; Mrs. Wilma Fellows of Denver, Mrs. James Williams, Mrs. Willis Lybarger, A.N. Stark, all of Sterling. Ivan Stark of Denver, Fern, Ruby, George and Norva at home; ten grandchildren; three brothers, Alonzo Stark of Upland, Nebraska, Boone Stark of Sterling and Perle Stark who resides in Iowa; and one sister Mrs. Pauline Guisinger of Denver.
