Esquire L.F. Miller Is Called to His Heavenly Home on Monday
March 9, 1870 - December 15, 1942
Esq. Lee F. Miller, 72, prominent and highly esteemed citizen, passed to his reward Monday, after a long and painful illness. Always interested in civic and political affairs,"Squire Miller served as a member of the Weakley County Court for twelve years. He was a native of this county and spent his life here. For many years he was a buyer of farm produce and engaged in other business enterprises as well.
A lifelong Methodist, Mr. Miller was a member of Travis Chapel church. He was sincere; consciousness Christian gentleman and his passing will be mourned by many. He is survived by his good wife, Mrs. Osie Miller and six children: Catherine, Lois, Mrs. Dorris Rambo, Mrs. Rachel Williams, all of near Dresden, Mrs. Frankie Cole of Chicago and Mrs. Marie Dodd of Murferesboro; one sister, Mrs. Mamie Moore, near Nashville.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at the residence, the Rev. N.A. Walker of McKenzie officiating. Burial followed in Sunset Cemetery with Taylor Funeral Home in charge.
Esquire Miller was truly a noble, good citizen, true to every relation in life. He was scrupulously honest. His integrity was never questioned. He was a lovable, sympathetic man, with a kindly heart whose pulse beats were the underprivileged--man down and out. The Enterprise joins with a host of friends in extending sympathy to the bereaved.
Peace to his ashes.
