Born in Danville, she was a daughter of the late Edd Oscar Hall and Bertha Mills Hall.
She was a life-Long resident of Danville and was employed at Kent Motor Company for a number of years.
Mrs Fields was an active member of the Sledd Memorial United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School for more than 50 years and was the choir director for many years.
Her husband, Curtis P Fields, died on July 18, 1975.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs Dorothy Fields Oakley, Danville; two brothers, the Rev. Curtis Hall and Lewis Edward Hall, both of Danville: four sisters, Mrs Ada DePue, Silver Springs, Md, Mrs Geneva Lynch and Mrs. Margaret Kent, both of Danville, and Mrs Ruth Neal, Ringgold, and two grand-children and two great-grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be held Sunday at 11 am from the Shermon Baptist Church, Graveside rites will be held Sunday at 2 pm from the Mountain View Cemetery by the Rev. Tom Griner.
The body is at Townes Funeral Home.
