Longtime Anchorage resident Claude Reeves Bilderbach, 74, died April 20 in Anchorage.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Witzleben's Bragaw Chapel with burial at 12:30 p.m. at Fort Richardson National Cemetery.

Mr. Bilderbach was born May 25, 1919, in Los Angeles. He had lived in Anchorage since 1970 after moving from Hawthorne, Nev. He was a member of the Elks Club in Hawthorne.

His family said, "Mr. Bilderbach took a very special interest in his grandchildren, and enjoyed watching Justin play hockey, Garred play basketball and Jamie play volleyball."

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, William and Lona and Kelly and Peggy Lyle, all of Wasilla; daughter and son-in-law, Terry and Everett Hinton of Wasilla; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Markie Lyle of Anchorage; grandsons, Garred Lyle of Wasilla and Justin Lyle of Anchorage; and granddaughter, Jamie Lyle of Anchorage.

Memorial donations may be sent to the Anchorage Hockey Association.
