John C Bilbrey is the son of Lawrence Bilbrey and Nancy Copeland of Overton, Tennessee. I beleve John moved to Lawerence Arkansas around 1850. On 30 OCT 1851 he married Rutha Deaton and had 12 children: Martha, James, Mary, George, Andrew, Cyntha, Denton, John, Joseph, Samantha, William, and Elizabeth. In July 1862 John served in the Civil War as a Confedate Soldier in teh Company F, 45th Arkansas Infantry as a private. After Ruth's death, John had his second marriage to Mary Harrison on 22 JUN 1873. It was the second marriage for both. John and Mary had one child Mary S. After Mary's death John married for the third time to Sophia Hughes.
