Services will be at 4 p.m. today in First Baptist Church of Sanford with the Rev. Ricky Griffin, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Sanford Cemetery by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.
Mr. Pigg was born in El Reno, Okla., and had been a Bugbee Shores resident since 1962.
He served with the Army National Guard during the Korean War. He was a carpenter and a member of First Baptist Church, where he was chairman of the deacons.
Mr. Pigg married Sue Capps in 1962 at Pampa.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Guy Wayne Pigg of Sanford and Kurt "Woody" Howell of Amarillo; four daughters, Faye "Sissie" Palmeter of Bugbee Shores, Gay Rhenea Dawkins of Amarillo, Deanna Lynn Walton of White Deer and Kay Rachell Pool of Panhandle; a brother, Nelvin Guy Nelson of Sacramento, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice, the American Cancer Society or the Sanford First Baptist Church building fund.
