Funeral services for Willis A. Oller, 64, a retired farmer of Morrisonville, will be held at 10:30 o'clock Tuesday morning in the Fishburn-Hough Funeral Home in Morrisonville, The Rev. David Arvey of Morrisonville will officiate and burial will be in Morrisonville Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 o'clock this evening.
Mr. Oller died at 7:50 o'clock Saturday night in St. John's Hospital in Springfield where he had been a patient about two weeks. He was born on September 1, 1914, at Witt, the son of Henry and Vera Nussman Oller and on Feb. 5, 1943 he was married at Lebanon, Pa. to Lucille Taylor of Irving. She survives. Mr. Oller served in the United States Army during World War II and was awarded the Purple heart and Bronze Star. He was a member of the American Legion Post 721 of Morrisonville, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2859 of Wood River, the Moose Lodge 1349 of Wood River and the Christian County ASCS office.
Surviving are his widow, two sons, Willis Henry Oller of Sherman and Thomas Dale Oller, Nokomis; five brothers, Oscar of Wood River; Henry, Jack and Karl all of Roxana; and Robert of Alton; four sisters, Mrs. Alvera Lawrence of Roxana; Mrs. Peggy Buehlman of East Alton; Mrs. Mary Whelan of Gary, Ind.: and Mrs. Shirley Brangenberg of Charlotte, Michigan; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother Donald, in infancy, and a sister, Mrs. Imogene Carson.
