She was born 18 May 1921 in Hyde Park to Martin Charles and Mary Menetta (Nettie) Hancey Reeder.She worked 40 years for the United States Department of Agriculture, retiring in 1980. She lived in Hyde Park throughout her life. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions. She particularly enjoyed teaching, but also served in secretarial capacities. She served as Hyde Park Town Treasurer for 23 years.

After her retirement she became interested in Genealogy and was involved in the publication of two family history books, did much original research, and at the time of her death was a volunteer in the Family History Library in Logan, Utah.

She is survived by one brother, Robert H. Reeder, of Trenton, Utah; two sisters, Erma R. Waite of Meridian, Idaho, and Marnette R. Woolley of Salt Lake City. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Stanley Martin, Wendell, and Russell Lloyd, and one sister, Phyllis R. Pickett.

Funeral services under the direction of Bishop Clell Bagley will be held in Hyde Park Fifth Ward Chapel at 12 noon, Tuesday, October 25. Visitation will be at Hall-Allen Mortuary in Logan Monday evening, October 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. and for one hour prior to the funeral at the Hyde Park chapel. Burial will be in the Hyde Park cemetery.
