Fold her hands together
Like the wings of a tired dove,
Tenderly smooth her tresses,
None knew her but to love.
Softly our tears are falling,
Sad our hearts today.
The one whom we most cherished
Has been called from us away.

Softly the winds will rustle
The grass on the silent ground:
Our tears shall moisten the flowers
As they fall on the cold, cold ground.
Swift to her home of azure,
The sealing of heavenly love,
She's gone- and is smiling on us
With the angels from above.
Her Husband.
The mother of 5 children. 4 sons and 1 daughter of whom nothing is known except her name, Sarah. Ann A's husband was a Civil War veteran. She died at age 37 after a long and painful illness. She was much missed by her husband & children. Ann Alameda's name is never spelled the same way twice, even in church records. Her stone refers to her as Ann S. which as an error.
Every year for the rest of their lives her family placed a memorial in the local papers on the anniversary of her death. A much loved and remembered mother.Trinity interment record September 4 1881
