James Frost

He was born Feb. 19, 1917, to Carrie and James B. Frost in Wilson, Okla. He passed away May 2, 2009, in Winnsboro.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Frost of 68 years; daughters, Patricia Fuller and Brenda Taylor; son-in-law Gary Taylor; grandchildren, Jacob Fuller, Julie Fuller, Brent and Michelle Fuller, Greg and Jani Taylor, Jeff and Patty Taylor, Matt and Katie Taylor; and seven great-grandchildren.

He retired from Amoco Pipelines after 37 years and continued to work for many years afterwards. He was an entrepreneur at heart.

Jack and Bonnie loved to travel in their motor coach all over North America. He was a World War II veteran and a Mason. He lived in Quitman for 60 years and served on the City Council. He was the oldest member of the First United Methodist Church and had many friends. Jack loved people and never met a stranger.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 3, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lowe Funeral Home in Quitman.

Funeral services for James "Jack" Bladen Frost will be held at The First United Methodist Church in Quitman at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Ken Archer officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Lowe Funeral Home of Quitman.

If desired, memorials may be made to First Methodist Church of Quitman building fund.
