John A Stanton was a native of Georgetown. He was the son of Thomas & Rosanna Stanton who were both born & married in Ireland. John was a business man who owned a construction co, a bar and several houses in Georgetown. He was the father of a large family all buried at Holy Rood. He and all of his children died young, even for the times.
