She was the daughter of Patrick J. Hedgecock and Nina Mae Ward. She attended Sugar Loaf and Antlers High School. She married J. C. Ward in March, 1950 at Tulare, CA and later married Roy H. Prince in May 1966 at Durant, OK. He passed away in Oct. 1977. She loved being with her children and grandchildren. She also loved gardening in her vegetable garden and flower beds, cooking and playing with her animals. Survivors include the father of her children, J. C. Ward of Coalgate, OK, 7 sons and 1 step-son, Danny Ward and wife Pat of Stuart, OK, Johnny Ward and wife Debbie of Coalgate, OK, Roy Ward and wife Carolyn of Broken Bow, OK, Randy Ward of Cairo, OK, Stanley Ward and wife Diann of McAlester, OK, Benny Ward and wife Cheri of Cottonwood, OK, Bobby Ward and wife Deanna of Cairo, OK, step-son, A. J. Ward and wife Samantha of Centrahoma, OK; 19 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; two sisters, Lois Thompson and husband Homer of Ventura, CA and Bertie Cox of Atoka, OK; brother, Bill Hedgecock and wife Inez of Antlers, OK; along with many other relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; her parents; brothers, Pat "Dub" Hedgecock, Raymond "Cap" Hedgecock and Robert "Pete" Hedgecock; sister, Luvenia "Bean" Standridge Gentry and son, Kelly Wayne Ward. Services will be Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at Brown's Funeral Chapel of Coalgate, OK. Interment will be at Cairo Cemetery.
