Herbert A Wieters of Ashley Park, died yesterday morning at a local hospital. He was 49.
A native of Charleston, he was born Feb. 18, 1908, a son of Otto H. Wieters and Mrs. Minnie Gotjen Wieters. Mr. Wieters was employed as the superintendent of the Charleston Rifle Club and was a life member of the club. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Elna M. Mohemann Wieters; two sons, Herbert A. Wieters, Jr. and Robert H. Wieters, both of Charleston; a sister, Miss Louise Wieters of Charleston; and a brother, Walter D. Wieters of Charleston.
Funeral services will take place today at 3 p.m. at Stuhr's Chapel, with the Rev. Hayward W. Epting and the Rev. Augustus Hackmann officiating. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be William F. Moran, Erwin Bohlen, Newton B. Prause, Fred A Fike, Homer N. Setzer and Harry O'Neale.
