Carl Oscar Anderson, who died at his home near Almelund, Wednesday evening of last week, was laid to rest Sunday afternoon, following services held at the Immanuel Lutheran Church there. At the time of his death, the deceased was 86 years, 2 months and 8 days.
Mr. Anderson was born in Ulvered, Sweden, Dec 1, 1863 where he was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He came to this country at the age of 22 and worked some time in Minneapolis. Here he married Miss Jenny Swanson on the 13th day of November 1890. They came to Almelund and settled on a farm there in 1899. The same year they joined the Immanuel Lutheran Church of which they have been faithful members since that time.
The deceased is survived by one son, Mr. Frank Anderson on the home place, two daughters, Mrs. Lillie Nelson of Minneapolis and Mrs. Edith Nelson of Amery, WI, 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, one sister, Christine in Sweden and a brother-in-law Helmer Berg of Minneapolis, MN besides many other relatives and friends.
At the funeral, Mrs. Melvin Johnson was the soloist and Mrs. L. E. Sedlund, organist. The pallbearers were: Algot Sellman, Carl Reed, William Reed, Fred Sandberg, Edward Bjork, and August Johnson. Mr. Anderson was highly esteemed in the community and liberal memorial gifts were received for various purposes in the community. Interment was in the Immanuel Church Cemetery.

Carl was born at Trällebo Östregård, Älmeboda parish, Kronoberg län, Sweden to Carl Magnus (Andersson) Anderson (1816-1896) and Kajsa/Caisa (Jonasdotter) Anderson (1815-1902). His parents are buried at Atwater, MN. Carl was married to Ingri "Jenny" K. Anderson (1862-1949)
