They had 8 children: Elizabeth, Ezekiel, Bethiah Silsbee, Samuel, Susanna, Mary, Jacob, & Benjamin.
Of the five known daughters of John Marsh, only Bethiah has a known history after her birth or baptism. Bethiah received a bequest in her father's will, which was written just three months after Bethiah's marriage. In some instances, this might imply that all the other daughters had already married and received their portions, and John Marsh was taking advantage of the writing of his will to give Bethiah her portion at that time. But two of the daughters, Susanna and Mary, were younger than Bethiah, and probably not married at the time of their father's will. So we are left with an unresolved dilemma: did all four of these daughters (Ruth, Elizabeth, Susanna and Mary) die without issue before John Marsh wrote his will? Or did some or all of them marry, without John Marsh bothering to remember them in his will?
